Funding:
This is based on the current funding regulations set by the government that all children aged three or four receive 15 hours of funded pre-school sessions per week. Funding commences the term after the child’s third birthday. A child must be 3 before the 31st March, 31st August or 31st December to qualify for funding for the following term.
Some families may be eligible for extended funding (the pre-school claims up to 30 hours per week). Please go to:- https://familyinfo.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/childcare-and-early-years/paying-childcare/30-hours-childcare/ to see if you are eligible.
2 Year Funding Offers
Funding is available for 2 year olds the term after their 2nd birthday whose families are receiving some additional forms of government support such as Income Support; Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance; Universal Credit. Please visit https://familyinfo.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/childcare-and-early-years/paying-childcare/2yo-funded-childcare/ to see if you may be eligible.
The government has introduced a funding offer for eligible working families in England, with effect from April 2024, for two year olds, again for the term after their 2nd birthday. The parent (or both parents if a two-parent family) are required to be in work and earn at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week on average and no more than £100,000 each.
Full eligibility can be found at: https://familyinfo.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/childcare-and-early-years/paying-childcare/apply-for-15-hours-childcare-for-your-2-year-old/
All funded hours will start from the beginning of the week and any hours over and above this will be charged as fee paying hours on the session after the funded hours expire.
Children under the age of 3, who are not funded, will be charged fees.
Fees:
Our current fees are £7.88 per hour for 2, 3 & 4 year olds.
Longwick Pre-school offers a maximum of 30 funded hours per week. We endeavour to offer as many places as we can, however, places may be limited. You are also able to split the entitlement over 2 providers. Hours above the funding entitlement/non-funded hours will be charged at our hourly rate of £7.88 per hour. In accordance with our Schedule of Fees Policy, unpaid fees will result in your child being unable to attend their non-funded sessions.
Admissions Charge:
Effective from January 2026; our Registration Fee will be superseded with an ‘Admissions Charge’.
The charge of £30.00 will remain but the inclusion of a logoed polo shirt will cease. If your child is eligible for government childcare funding and attends within their funded entitlements, the admissions fee will be refunded within the first few weeks of starting at the pre-school. 2 year disadvantaged funded children will be exempt from this fee on production of the 2 year funding code. The fee is refundable to either your nominated bank account or deducted off your consumables invoice if your child is accessing only funded hours.
If the admission fee has not been paid, we unfortunately will not be able to place your child on our register / waiting list unless otherwise agreed with the Manager/Business Manager.
